About Me
My name is Cassandra and I’ve been gluten-free for four years. Even though I am the only Celiac in the family, my home is completely gluten-free, to keep me safe and us all sane. I love experimenting in the kitchen with my husband, Andy, and our two boys - Braden and Carter.
I am the assistant treasurer and book sales chairman of my local support group, North Texas GIG. We will be hosting the annual GIG Education Conference, June 6-7, 2008. We hope that you all can join us.
Music is my first love (though it now lies behind my family). I teach piano lessons and play for the children’s primary and the young women at church. I love to sing solos at church (though it is still nerve-wracking) and be a part of the church choir.
My husband, Andy, is a firefighter/paramedic. While at the fire station, he can often be found baking cookies in the evening, and his nickname there is Keebler. He spends a lot of his “free time” from the department as an independent associate with Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc.
Braden will be turning 6 in March. He is currently in first grade at a wonderful school. I enjoy volunteering in his class and in other ways at his school. Carter will be 2 in June and is my little pal. He has recently begun “helping” me in the kitchen.
I sincerely hope you find something to delight your senses on my blog. Enjoy!
